Thanks for another great read.My Daughter Claudia has just set off on her travels. After a few months in Thailand she is off to Aus for the rest of the year. Its good to hear of friendly and helpful people. Sadly I didn't have alot of time to get to know any one when I was there. Saw a programme on East Timor the other week. Be careful friend.

I am a friend of Danny's. Now what ever happened to him?
I loved reading your latest entry. I have not been in Australia since 15 years ago and have still stomach turning feelings of "homesickness" if I read about being out in the nature there. I also love Asia, being so culturally diverse. But the pure nature of Australia is unique. I am glad to hear you are going up the west side of the country. Too many peolpe see it as great expanse of nothing. I loved it! Even met the wife there. But, then you can't have everything.
Good read: From Alice to Ocean: Alone Across the Outback by Robyn Davidson. Simply an inspiring and beautifully written book.

Hi Adam - just wanted to say have a fab time in Oz despite the humungous spiders, snakes, crocs, etc.
Hazel (the cat) has reclaimed her LazyBoy - sat there most of the day; probably worried you would return! Matthew & I really enjoyed the midnight BBQ and drinks with you & George last night and hearing some of the hairy stories (pardon the pun). AWESOME PHOTOS! You should write a book! Please do not put pictures of your bums on this again - Was looking intently at the lovely photos and then - boom! Up came a bare bum! Too much excitement for an old lady!
And . . . bit too cold, even here in France, for a bottle of wine in the garden - to Adam's readers, take my advice and print off the blog and take it to bed with a nice hot chocolate (which is improved immensely by the addition of a double vodka!).
Keep going you guys - you're just great! Only a couple of years to go and you'll be visiting us here in France - am building up the alcohol supplies in readiness!

Well mate what news from Blighty!
Biffo, bought it on the 23rd. Dam fool walked straight in to a Hun trench. He was hit twelve times (lucky they didnt shoot him). As for Strangley brown and the Badger. They were last seen walking hand in hand across no mans land (Mr Noman, is getting realy fed up with people walking across his feild).
As for Cleethorps and myself. Well we have decided on an all out attack on the hun trenches. We dont want to spread ourselves to thin. So Cleethorps will attack the rear and the left. I will attack the buggers head on. We should overrun them with our superior numbers and the element of surprise.
So what abt you? Still worrying sheep? Sorry to hear abt the rubber ring i sent. Can the puncture be fixed? (I know the hole in the middle was small but you realy should have just used it for sitting on). Spoke to ure mother yesterday. She said your rash had cleard up but you now seem to have three testicles.
Owell mate chin up. Cant get much worse can it.
If you dont hear from me again, youl know i bought it ( the winning ticket for the lottery).

Hi Adam & Danny,Thanks for your latest update,it makes great reading.I spent 10 days in Georgetown in Mar 03 and like you was impressed how all the different cultures and religions lived harmoniously.They were lovely generous people.Hope you enjoy NZ and as well as the Sth Island you get a chance to go to the Nth Is,there is some superb scenery up there-the volcanos at Turangi,Coromandel Peninsular and Nth of Auckland are a few of the areas I specially liked.I spent 6 mths on a KLR650 covering both islands back in 98/9.If you are going to Ushuaia,as I read from one message,check out the 'cheap' trips to Antarctica if you've got time.They're heavily discounted to fill the ships at the last moment.Still quite a bit of money but a lot cheaper than booking in the UK.

Hi Adam & Danny, Read your journal as soon as it comes in but find it hard to comment on, being a bandit 12 rider tend not to ride that far as the head tries to part company with my neck,but we did have a 1st of the year ride out for Comic Relief red nose day clocked up 180 miles raised a bit of cash sadly no knighthoods !! had saddle rash for a couple of days (should of had a sheepskin cover i hear you saying) so feel a bit of a wimp compared to you boys, photos are the Dogs so keep it coming ride safe

Hi everyone
I m Mazz, a biker from S.Petani in Malaysia. Yesterday on tue,27 March at 3pm, there i was sitting in my car at the traffic light when i saw this 2 guys at the traffic light. I was wondering whether this guys were local on their way back from Thailand.There goes the green light and i get to move first.Never mind i ll slow down and let them pass and then i noticed it....Uk reg number.Should know,from my 2 years stint in the Uk at Bucks College in Wycombe way back in 89/90. This guys must be long distance travellers. So i drove along side Danny and signal him to pull over. We introduce ourselves and chat for a short while and we will meet again tommorrow night in Penang together with my bikers friend.Hmmmm....perhaps Ill ask them to join the Asian Bike Tour 07 Carnival in Penang this coming Saturday. Cheers everyone !!!

I think you two would be suprised as to how many people read this blog. I work in a computer shop and every now and then it pops up in customers favourites folder, and they dont even know you.

Hi Adam,
just love reading the bloggs, though have to admit a bit of jealousy creeps in watching all your adventures.
I have been trying to organise a Route 66 ride from Chicago to LA, but it looks rather tame compared to your trip.
Just keep on enjoying yourself you lucky bugger, and keep the bloggs coming, at least we can have a bit of escapism from the every day work.
Never know might catch up with you sometime someplace.

Cant believe its a year already ! You're not missing much..today started with ice on the car, then brilliant sunshine, then hailstones, now the sunshine again....and thats just in Andover ! Hello Danny,
I can't help wondering why you are doing this. I don't mean the holiday, but that you do it on a motorbike. Why not a Sherpa campervan? Comfort and a class apart. Maybe you'd worry that your friend would keep asking if you had your lights on and if he may piss in your sink.
Try to enjoy it, even if it's only on a motorbike.

Glad to see that TC hasn't got you lost yet on your adventure. Or maybe you are lost and you actually only intended to go to Spain?! He's doing better than he did on our little adventure in Switzerland.
Hi Adam - Like the blog... I have no doubt that you're behind this rather than Danny.
Looks like you're both having the time of your life... where are all the tweakles though?!
We missed you on the last snow holiday ...and I'm sure you'll both be missed on the next one too - not that I'm going as my bump might make me fall over even more than I normally do!
By the way, if you are lost for something to do in northern Thailand and discover you have a keen interest in moths and insects, I'm sure my dad could show you some good night spots(purely to look at moths and glow inthe dark insects).
Now that I've got your web address I'll be keeping an eye on you.

What a bummer that on the first day of the rally the bike breaks down! Maybe you still have time to learn some paragliding! the picture just makes me wanne go and do it. Hope to make some flying time in Pokhara in november. We are enjoying the Netherlands, but it feels good to have the returnticket still in the pocket:-)

Ive left it a while & have been keeping up with you in the mag........seems like your having a great time,meeting lots of new people & tackling all of the trials & tribulations that you are facing on what seems like a daily occurrence.
